ARTnord magazine

ARTnord is an annual magazine published in Paris devoted to Nordic and Baltic art. It is today the only printed review dealing with this subject. Each issue explores and makes tangible a transversal theme or practice in Nordic and Baltic contemporary art. Founded in 1997, ARTnord has been growing in scope and ambition ever since. Initially addressed to an academic audience, it is now read by a wider public interested in photography, design, architecture, and modern art. ARTnord is a readable yet sophisticated publication, featuring scientific studies, interviews, articles, and a rich imagery.

The magazine is carried by the French Nordic Art Historians Committee (CHAN), which in turn is hosted by the French National Institute of Art History, located in the prestigious Galerie Colbert in the Paris city centre.

ARTnord no. 11, released in May 2012, presents the artists participating in the HORIZONIC exhibition, but also a wide range of Nordic and Baltic artists working in the field of sound art. It is entirely published in English and French.
